have been thinkin about engine coversion and have decided on a 1.4 8v turbo. built from scratch outside car. using lower compresion from 1.6 head. cam etc and maybe 1.6 loom injectors etc not sure yet need to have a word with me mate with 1.6 turbo nova. should be fun!!!! what u all think (Griggsy is not allowed to reply to this post hehe

he blew his 1.4 8v turbo up....lol!)

OI! it worked for a little while! (week) just dont run it at 14psi like i did! Turns your car into a giant smoke machine!

to be totaly honest its a bit of a pipe dream at the mo.... not realy sure on power not looking at too much i want it to be quick yet reliable so prob only run low ish boost (7psi) something like that.

need to get funds together and work out total cost and what i need and also how im gonna do it....

because if i have too much power i will hurt my car (not worried about myself...lol)

just wanna do something different and 1.4 engines are not as expensive or hard to come buy so spares will be easyish!!!!!

im just worried about the temptation to up the boost...

i will vouch for the fact griggsys wassss bloody quick little laggy but amazing when it ran!!!!!!!!

ive seen a few 8v turbo\'s
running 5th injectors etc
and as long as the base is solid and isnt running silly boost it can be reliable

cheers mate its gonna take some time but defo wanna try it! my mate has a 1.6 8v turbo wit bleed valve in car an he can get 14.2 quarters with standard compression and 2 head gskts. im gonna use 1.4 bottom end and 1.6 head and 1.6 management fuel lines 2.016v fuel pump and pwr bst valve on the fuel return... i thinks thats what i should have need to talk to peeps in the know.
