wierd 1.2 8v turbo sound

my corsa is making a wierd turbo sound when i put my foot down but it aint turboed lol. anyone know why its doing this??

Its heard all the other cars making that noise and thought that's what the cool cars do?

yeh my gfs little corsa makes that noise. sort of a supercharged kinda sucking whining noise. its quite weird really

seems 2 get louder in the cabin when any of the rubber grommits on the firewall are loose so it could just be an air whistle coming through. dont seem 2 be causing much issue tho cuz its done 4k miles and is running fine

Could it be a hole in the air box or something stuck in the filter?

mines doing that its most likly an alternator bearing m8

i kinda know what you mean, mine is making the same noise, not that you can hear it now over the load custom exhaust

may sound kewl, but if its there, it obviously isnt, youve probably got an air leak somewhere, i havnt really looked at mine yet, as i havnt been bothered to

mines does that as well but i just decided to get use to it lol, cant hear it with my powerflow exhaust and carbon fibre induction kit

my car makes a whining noise when i put the foot down...
untill i hit 4k rpm then it changes to a whistling noise......
then when i lift off the throttle a sort of hissing noise....

haha but no on a serious note my old 12v corsa used to really whine when you put the boot down
never had ay problems with it i think it was just supposed to sound like that!
check you vaccum hoses could be a slight leak more commonly a split in it.
unless your losing power i wouldnt worry
