my temp gauge dunt work but the engine never seems to overheat.
isit just the gauge tht f**ked? the gauge sez the engine is running at like 100degrees haha
checked fuse n its not tht.

check that your water system is pressurising, simple way to do it is run ur car without the water cap on for 5 mins, watch it go like a fountain,next check there is pressure in each water pipe, cud be thermostat, last check ur waterpump.

does your temp gauge stay at 100 all the time even with the ignion off?
just sounds like a knackerd gauge,

and its perfectly ok for an engine to run at 100degrees bear in mind because the system is pressurised the coolant wont boil in your engine till about 110-115degrees so 100 is ok, plus if its really that hot your radiator fan should fire up n help

had this on mine few months back it was the connecter on the temprature sensor just cleaned it and put it back on fine since

could be just remove the clocks and clean the contract pins give it a try

when u leave the car idle for a while it natural that the water temp in the radiator works its way to 100 on the temp guage. U need to do this then remove the cap and pour in radweld when u got a small leak in the radiator. it boild the water then the fan will kick in and keep it at about 100 when stood diel if left still. The wind chill factor of driving round is mostly what keeps a corsa radiator cool...not the fan. the radiator fins are all to gunked up on most older radiators for the fan to really shift a huge amount of airflow.it suks in cold air to the bonnet....given the cleaner/newer the radiator/coolant u will get a somewhat longer boiling time and faster cooling times. Alongwith a proportionatlely more effective fan cooling solution. Seems to make sense.
